What Is a Cryptid

The definition of a cryptid is a creature whose existence has not been proven by science, but has had written or eye witness accounts of sightings by multiple people.  There are many different ways of classifying something as a cryptid. Some cryptids are undiscovered species, some are creatures who did exist at one point in time, but are believed to be extinct, another is a creature whose description is found in mythology but actually describes a true creature.
